Source: Truths You Won’t Believe
Debunking more lies and racist misinformation about black men. Stop the ignorance and start to question why these myths exist in the first place, if not to demonize black men and promote the image of us as inherently criminal and violent and incapable of being educated.
If you’ve been lied to like this, you should also probably ask yourself if you believed it, and if you did then ask why you believed it.
I’m gonna work my way though some teen drama the old fashion way, 1 episode before bed a night.
Rectify is a fantastic show that’s just a slow meditation on life and focuses on finding beauty in the emptyness. One of the best images of the series I’ve seen so far is Daniel, alone, sitting in an empty baseball field. There’s also fun examination of small town politics that don’t get show on TV often, the setting and tone of the show are perfectly on point and I love it. Also great performances.
I think The Leftovers is going to exceed the hype
I didn’t dig the first bit of the Leftovers. Does it get better after the first like 40 minutes of the first episode? Should I just put in more time?
We stopped for lunch and gas on the journey to Michigan and the restaurant we went to was on, I shit you not, 40 Sharts Road.
I don’t know about you, but I sure wouldn’t wanna shart 40 times.
Blah blah E3 blah blah xbox blah blah stubbly guys.
I do love MGS, but come on. :/
[Hand-written text reading “For Boys. Step # one: Remember that your older brothers, cousins, uncles, and your fathers are not your role models. This means you do not do what they do, you do not do what they say. They come from a time when their role models told their sons to be mean to girls, to think of yourself as better and stronger and smarter than them. They also taught things like: you will grow up strong if you act tough and fight the boys who are known as nerds or geeks” This is followed by writing that’s been scribbled over to be illegible]
